Senior Manager Research Analyst/Senior Manager Research Analyst - Private Credit

The Senior Manager Research Analyst (SMRA) is responsible for a wide range of investment manager research projects participating in the efforts of the Investment Management Research team. This position supports the Investment Manager Research team which leads manager due diligence at RVK. The SMRA is responsible for a wide range of investment manager research projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist Investment Manager Research team in the discovery and evaluation of investment managers
  • Assist with capital market research and evaluation
  • Maintain research tools and proprietary databases
  • Communicate continually with investment managers for data collection, product awareness and meeting scheduling
  • Assist with cash planning projections on behalf of RVK clients
  • Communicate with Manager Research Consultants and members of RVK’s Consulting Teams regarding investment manager searches and research reports
  • Maintain current with industry news and developments
  • Assist with special ad-hoc projects
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics
  • Five (5) years of investment consulting, asset management, or other relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and/or Master’s degree preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively coupled with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to travel (averages 2-5 days per month)
  • Familiarity with research database tools such as Evestment Alliance®, Morningstar®, Markoff Processes International®, Lexis Nexis®

The Senior Manager Research Analyst - Private credit (SMRA) focuses on private credit markets, with the potential to expand into other private market alternatives more broadly, including private equity and real assets. The SMRA is responsible for a wide range of investment manager research projects participating in the efforts of the Investment Management Research team. This position supports the Manager Research Consultant that leads due diligence in these asset classes. The SMRA is responsible for a wide range of investment manager research projects participating in the efforts of the Investment Management Research team.

  • Assist Manager Research Consultants in discovery and evaluation of investment managers within private credit
  • Assist with alternatives assets class market research and evaluation
  • Maintain alternatives research tools and proprietary databases
  • Communicate continually with investment managers for data collection, product awareness and meeting scheduling
  • Assist with alternatives cash planning projections on behalf of RVK clients
  • Communicate with Manager Research Consultants and members of RVK’s Consulting Teams regarding investment manager searches and research reports
  • Maintain current with industry news and developments
  • Assist with special ad-hoc projects
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics
  • Five (5) years of investment consulting, asset management, or other relevant industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Chartered Financial Analyst® designation and/or Master’s degree preferred
  • Three (3) years of institutional private credit industry experience; other private markets experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
  • Ability to communicate effectively coupled with strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to excel in a deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to travel (averages 2-5 days per month)
  • Familiarity with research database tools such as Evestment Alliance®, Morningstar®, Markoff Processes International®, Lexis Nexis®
