Development Review Coordinator

This position coordinates the County’s Development Review Committee (DRC) process and assists Development Services staff with research as needed.

 

  • Communicates with applicants and the general public to provide information and respond to questions about the County’s development review procedures.
  • Coordinates with assigned administrative staff in organizing DRC applications, checks for application completeness and communicates with applicants to provide missing application requirements.
  • Coordinates with administrative staff in distributing application documents to County interdepartmental and agency reviewers. With the assistance and back up of administrative staff, acts as the liaison in matters of communication and procedure between applicants and DRC review staff.
  • Coordinates with administrative staff in preparing DRC agendas and presentations for DRC meetings.
  • Maintains timeline and schedule for projects and assists DRC members in conducting timely review.
  • Updates DRC information and application forms on the County website.
  • Coordinates with administrative staff in maintaining orderly and consistent electronic and hard copy, if applicable, DRC files.
  • Maintains DRC meeting schedule.
  • Initiates and prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports of DRC activity.
  • Compiles comments from DRC reviewers into organized format and forwards to applicants.
  • Assists department with research and document review for quality control.
  • Conducts research as required.
  • Performs a variety of moderate to complex administrative duties in support of department activities, which may include but are not limited to scheduling appointments, maintaining calendars, compiling data for reports and/or meetings, establishing and maintaining files, maintaining databases, assisting with budget preparation, etc.
  • Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals such as the immediate supervisor, co-workers, other County personnel, DRC members and the general public.

This position requires an Associates Degree or higher plus a minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of responsible administrative, clerical or project management experience or related field or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must have a good working knowledge of Land Development Regulations and related Nassau County Ordinances, Resolutions, agreements and procedures.  May require a valid State Driver’s License.

 

The hourly range for this position is $22.0416 – $33.5388. The County provides a comprehensive benefits program and participates in the Florida Retirement System (FRS) and has a 3% employee contribution requirement.
