Government Proposal Specialist & Business Development, Body Armor

In light of our recent success, RTS Tactical is expanding, and we are seeking a highly motivated, adaptable professional to join our team! 

 

Who we are looking for:

 

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Government Contract specialist to join our energetic team to spearhead government sales, and identify new business opportunities for the company. 

 

We are looking for someone with experience with Government Contracts, Bid reviews, Proposal writing and is able to identify and execute contracts. Experience in Military, LE or the defense industry is a strong preference.

Job Responsibilities:

 

  • Research and identify new government contract opportunities for our company.
  • Work directly with the CEO on Bid opportunities, as well as business development opportunities.
  • Analyze requests for proposals (RFPs) and bid documents to determine the requirements for submitting a successful bid.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop compliant and responsive bid proposals that meet customer needs and win government contracts.
  • Manage the entire bid process, including the preparation of pre-qualification questionnaires, bid packages, and submission of bids. Develop and maintain proposal management plan, to execute this.
  • Conduct market research as well as Identify emerging trends in the industry to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand our customer base.
  • Assist CEO in following up on leads, locating the contact opportunities, and scheduling meetings.
  • Managing and prioritizing incoming communication, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
  • Accomplish basic executive assistant tasks to create consistency in achieving new business opportunities

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Major field of study whose emphasis is on strong writing, thinking, researching, and reading skills.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in government contracting and business development.
  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other government procurement policies and procedures. (preferred)
  • Experience with developing and submitting government bids and proposals.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are a must position will interface with customers, subcontractors, employees at all levels of the company to determine needs and design appropriate responses.

 

Shift:

Full-Time

8 hour shift

Monday - Friday 

 

Pay range: 50k-70k
